OUR SHARED MANDATE
To bridge the gap between ancient scripture and modern living through rigorous study.
We empower our community to decode the complexities of biblical history and theology, moving beyond surface-level readings to find the intellectual and spiritual truth designed for our modern era.
The Library
Bible Myths
Myth: All the parables in the Bible are literal history.
Truth: Parables are crafted stories Jesus used to reveal spiritual truths, not historical reports of actual events.
History of The Church
Most never talk about how Rome rewired the church through Christianity. Constantine is not a saint, he's not a hero, and he's not the Christian champion we were taught to admire. He was a good politician. Constantine didn't convert because he loved God; he converted because he needed a strategy to unify the Roman Empire, and Christianity was on the rise.
King James
Critical examination of the translation's history and its socio-political impact. Time always tells the true intent behind the authorized version.
Study Skills
Master the tools of hermeneutics. Locate text in real space, investigate wording, and let culture expose original intention.
Study Sessions
This class is a guided reset for how you handle the Bible. In Module 1, you rebuild your foundations—why you study, how you posture your heart, and how to see each passage inside the bigger story of Scripture. Module 2 gives you practical tools: observing the text carefully, digging into historical and cultural background, doing honest word studies, and letting Scripture interpret Scripture. In Module 3, you learn to test what you’ve been taught, discern trustworthy voices, apply the text with integrity, and share what you’ve learned in a way you can actually defend from Scripture.
Exegesis Deep-Dive
Exegesis isn’t just for scholars—it’s how you stop guessing what a verse “means to you” and start seeing what it actually says. In each Deep-Dive, we zoom in on one passage, walk through its grammar, culture, and literary flow, and then compare it with how it’s usually preached today. Expect a few sacred cows to get challenged, and a lot of “how did I never see that?” moments.
Scripture & Culture
Every verse was born in a real place, with real politics, class tensions, and cultural norms. In Scripture & Culture, we trace how those ancient pressures compare with today’s hashtags, church wars, and social issues. We’ll explore where we’ve baptized cultural preferences as “Bible truth,” and where scripture still cuts across the grain of our comfort.
Wisdom Literature
Practical insights from the books of wisdom to help navigate the complexities of personal growth and faith.
